Carbondale Health Screening Indicates 67 percent at Risk
April 14, 2007; Carbondale, IL – The Delta Regional Authority (DRA) released a report indicating that of the 183 Carbondale area residents who participated in a recent DRA-sponsored Hometown Health Fair health screening, 67 percent were at moderate to high health risk. The DRA partnered with the Jackson County Healthy Communities Coalition who focused on finding health solutions for the working uninsured, including help finding affordable medical, dental and mental health services.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. and NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 24, 2007 –With a commitment to battling diabetes in this region, and making healthcare more affordable and accessible, Wal-Mart and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) today joined forces to launch a diabetes awareness program in Wal-Mart stores across the eight-state DRA region beginning this month and continuing through March 2008.
